Are you struggling with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) application? Are you struggling to navigate the special educational needs (SEN)system? Do you require support with One Planning or reading professional reports? Do you need support signposting to outside agencies?

I can help you.

Special needs consultancy is a service that provides expert advice and support to families regarding children with special educational needs or parents concerned that their child may have SEND.

The service also supports parents navigating the education system (schooled or home-schooled), assist with signposting to relevant specialists to get a diagnosis and develop tailored strategies to support a child’s learning and development in both home and school environments. It also provides support to those parents seeking support with EHCP’s.

What can I do for you and how does it work?

Having taught in primary schools for over twenty years, I understand how frustrating getting the right support for your child can be. The lack of resources (money and time) indicates that schools are struggling to meet the needs of their children. The school SENCO ‘s busy schedule often means that parents are waiting longer for advice.

My role as a SEND consultant aims to fill that gap. By booking an appointment to see me, I can help you; discuss in confidence, your concerns, help you signpost for further diagnosis, support you with an EHCP application, support with One Planning and strategies to support an identified need. Sessions are normally one-off’s, meaning only one consultation cost. All take place in a private, cosy office-space.

After the consultation, I will write you a summary of our meeting, listing all the recommendations discussed.

My philosophy is to collaborate with all stakeholders involved in your child’s education.
